What is Primary Enrichment at Chauncy?

Throughout the year a variety of new opportunities are available to primary students after school from 4pm to 6pm at Chauncy in Ware. This year each programme of activities will run for six weeks at a subsidised cost of £12.00 for six activity sessions of two hours. That works out at only £1.00 per hour! Leaflets are printed and sent out to primary schools and the information is also available via e-mail to parents or can be downloaded from the Chauncy School and Ware and Villages Extended Schools website.

Please contact Deputy Headteacher Steve Walton if you would like further information about this programme.

Summer School 2009

We ran a highly successful two week summer school starting on Monday 20th July and ending on Friday 31st July.

The Summer School is aimed at Reception to Year Six students from Ware and the surrounding villages.

The Summer School day started at 9.30am and finished at 3.00pm. The cost of the summer school at £50.00 per week, allowed families to sign up for one or both weeks.

Students participated in a carousel of activities appropriate for their age group, with three activity sessions planned for each day.

Activities included: sketching, collage, painting, 3D design, print, jewellery making, clay, digital photography and video image making. We also included some other fun activities such as Story Making, Trampolining, Multi-Sports, Music and Dancing.

Summer School 2008
